The event commenced with a warm and gracious welcome address delivered by Dr. Susan Rai, Convenor of the Legal Literacy Cell, who emphasized the importance of legal literacy in shaping responsible and informed citizens.

The proceedings were smoothly conducted by the Master of Ceremonies, Dr. Santosh Subba, who clearly outlined the objectives of the programme. The keynote speaker and resource person, Dr. Bitu Subba, a faculty member from the Department of Political Science, delivered an insightful and thought-provoking lecture. His presentation shed light on the significance of constitutional values and their profound impact on the social structure. He eloquently explained how Fundamental Rights serve as the foundation for equality, justice, and social harmony.

Dr. Bittu Subba, delivered a comprehensive and engaging presentation that not only explained the core principles of Constitutional and Fundamental Rights but also introduced students to important legal remedies such as the writs of habeas corpus and mandamus, clearly outlining their meaning, purpose, and the situations in which they can be invoked to safeguard individual liberty and ensure administrative accountability.
