Students of Sikkim Government College Namchi brought laurels to the institution by securing prestigious medal awards at the Seventh Convocation of Sikkim University, held on 27th May 2026.
As per the official notifications issued by Sikkim University on 24th March 2026 and 15th April 2026, the medal awardees were selected on the basis of the recommendations of the Deans’ Committee and with the approval of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor for securing the highest and second-highest absolute marks in their respective programmes.
The following students from Sikkim Government College Namchi were awarded medals:
Bachelor of Arts (Honours)
(1) Ms Dharmit Lepcha (Roll No. 20NA0213) secured the Silver Medal for the year 2023.
(2) Ms Sanila Rai (Roll No. 21NA0375) secured the Gold Medal for the year 2024.
Bachelor of Commerce (Honours)
(1) Mr Riwaj Chettri (Roll No. 20NC0002) secured the Gold Medal for the year 2023 and was also awarded the ICAI Medal of Merit.
(2) Ms Pratiksha Gurung (Roll No. 20NC0003) secured the Silver Medal for the year 2023.
(3.) Ms Akila Bhutia (Roll No. 21NC0007) secured the Gold Medal for the year 2024 and was also awarded the ICAI Medal of Merit under combined ranking of all colleges and departments.
(4) Ms Neha Verma (Roll No. 21NC0050) secured the Silver Medal for the year 2024.
(5) Ms Ismiti Subba (Roll No. 22NC0043) secured the Gold Medal for the year 2025 and was also awarded the ICAI Medal of Merit.
(6) Mr Binay Rai (Roll No. 22NC0010) secured the Silver Medal for the year 2025.
Bachelor of Science (Honours)
(1) Mr Shahin Akhtari Ansari (Roll No. 22NS0017) secured the Silver Medal for the year 2025.
Master of Commerce
(1) Ms Anuka Diyali Kami (Roll No. 21NMC012) secured the Gold Medal for the year 2023 under combined ranking of PG Extension and Department.
(2)Ms Neha Basnet (Roll No. 21NMC006) secured the Silver Medal for the year 2023.
(3) Ms Ishneha Rai (Roll No. 22NMC006) secured the Gold Medal for the year 2024.
(4) Mr Ashbin Gurung (Roll No. 22NMC014) secured the Silver Medal for the year 2024.
Master of Arts (Education)
(1) Ms Nika Chettri (Roll No. 21NED001) secured the Gold Medal for the year 2023.
(2) Ms Parikshit Sharma (Roll No. 21NED008) secured the Silver Medal for the year 2023.
(3) Ms Monalisha Chhetri (Roll No. 22NED007) secured the Gold Medal for the year 2024.
(4) Ms Karma Eden Bhutia (Roll No. 23NED003) secured the Gold Medal for the year 2025.
(5) Mr Deepan Rai (Roll No. 23NED002) secured the Silver Medal for the year 2025 under combined ranking of PG Extension and Department.
Master of Arts(Geography)
(1) Ms Meera Basnet (Roll No. 22NGP007) secured the Gold Medal for the year 2024.
(2) Ms Karma Yanchen Bhutia (Roll No. 22NGP002) secured the Silver Medal for the year 2024.
(3) Ms Aita Maya Limboo (Roll No. 23NGP005) secured the Gold Medal for the year 2025.
